Dual qualify as both a GDA and DEA

For non-qualified candidates wishing to dual qualify – no previous experience necessary.

Level 3 Diploma in Green Deal Domestic Advice (GDA) (6066-01 City & Guilds)

Full DEA Qualification & GDA Qualification combined

This qualification will enable the learner to become a Green Deal Adviser, producing the Green Deal Assessment Report using relevant and approved software.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification has been specifically developed for new learners (no previous experience required) wishing to provide Green Deal Advice. Green Deal assessment and accompanying advice must be carried out by a qualified and authorised Green Deal Domestic Adviser.  The Adviser will have a mixture of technical knowledge, practical competence and ‘soft’ skills to provide households and businesses with the advice they need to take informed decisions.

Course Structure

We run the course as an 8 day course.

It includes:

  • Full DEA Qualification – completed in 5 days (see Domestic Energy Assessor)
  • 5 Portfolio properties provided for the DEA Qualification
  • Green Deal Adviser Qualification – completed in 3 days
  • 3 Portfolio Properties provided for the GDA Qualification


Assessment is by portfolio, assignment, online exam and role play.

Course Dates

Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th June 2015 (5 days DEA Component)
Monday 29th June to Wednesday 1st July 2015 (3 days GDA Component)

Please note that you do not have to complete the two components within the same month or training period.


All candidates that successfully pass each of the assessments for this course, will receive a City & Guilds Certificate  as evidence that they have passed this GDA qualification.

Each unit of the course is based on the National Occupational Standards for Domestic Energy Assessors and has been endorsed by Asset Skills, the Sector Skills Council for facilities management, housing, property, planning, cleaning and parking.
